Ivy Lodge is a 10-bedded service situated in the South Yorkshire village of Thurnscoe with easy access to major shopping areas like Barnsley and Doncaster by bus, and Rotherham, Sheffield (including Meadowhall), Wakefield and Leeds by train (the station is a 10-minute walk from the service).

The home is conveniently positioned in the centre of the community and local shops (including a supermarket) are only a few minutes-walk away.

All bedrooms are en-suite with a shower and we encourage service users to personalise these to their own taste. Service users are involved in the daily life of the home, helping with everything from domestic tasks to shopping and meal preparation. They have a wide a variety of in-house activities (group and individual) to choose from and a number of them have undertaken formal educational/vocational qualifications.

We are actively involved in the community with service users working on a community allotment, helping with a litter-picking group, being part of and having a role within a Slimming World group being just a few examples. Service users are also keen to support charities and we have held a number of fund-raising events both on our own and as part of bigger community events.
